Some of this may be old news to you veteran Austinite veggies, but I still thought I’d share.
I was recently visiting the West Lake HEB when I discovered they sell Daiya! We’ve thought about asking our HEB to sell it, but never got around to it mainly because we were told they couldn’t carry anything that wasn’t already stocked in their warehouse. Well now we’re sure it is, so we’ll definitively be requesting it. If you’re not familiar with Daiya it’s the number one vegan cheese substitute. If cheese is one of the reason you’re not comfortable with making the transition from carnivore to herbivore then I’d give it a shot, maybe slowly trade it out with your dairy cheeses. Of course it’s also available at Whole Foods and any other health food store around here.
The other thing I wanted to share was this:
Except Wheatsville offered the Strawberry version. I was so excited. I haven’t had Strawberry Cream Cheese in over four years. I put it on Cinnamon Raisin bagels. It was a super-delish, quick breakfast for this morning.
