I like to think if I were a pumpkin I’d be one of the little “sweet” pumpkins for making pie.
It seems like everyone this past weekend went to a pumpkin patch or a corn maze or, at the very least, brought their kids over to have their pictures taken with pumpkins outside of Whole Foods. Ahh, city dwellers sure bring a smile to my face. 🙂
Especially since I am one now. If you recall I used to live in West Austin by Lake Travis and Steiner Ranch, never venturing too far past Mopac. Well times they are a changin’, and definitely for the better. I’m temporarily staying in a condo downtown and just fyi, I’m probably never giving it up. It’s just too convenient to get everywhere, especially the trail around Town Lake. Talk about a runner’s dream. My favorite part of my runs, however, is stopping in at Whole Foods on the way back home to grab a coconut water (when I say that I really mean to grab Better Bites Bakery cookie dough balls…post workout metabolism boost? — I’ll keep telling myself that)! Anyway, lately, every time I swing by I see the cutest families stuffing their little ones between oversized pumpkins looking to get the perfect picture. Which, I’m sure they inevitably do, because let’s face it all little ones are adorable and pumpkins make everything cozier.
